SMUD Home Performance Program

Valley Duct Testing (An Independent Home Energy Rater aka HERS II Rater) is trained, tested, and certified to gather home energy information and perform diagnostic testing to measure energy consumption utilizing specially designed software.

Items assessed include:

• Heating and cooling equipment
• Sealing and insulation levels
• Appliances and lighting

Tests conducted include:

• Blower door
• Duct blaster
• Home energy rating/score

At the completion of your energy assessment, you will receive a written report,
recommendations for the most cost effective energy efficiency upgrades, and a list of SMUD Qualified Energy Professionals trained to install the upgrades.
